Ni Box

Every day, new constructions and future projects add to the PASTOR GROUP’S will to stay at the very top. Here are a few examples.

The Ni Box, an unprecedented concept

Follow the guide… “On two basement levels, there is a watersports centre and a nightclub that holds between 800 – 1000 people, as well as an 8-lane bowling alley and bar… On the ground floor, at reception level, there is a boutique selling Ni Box items and an exhibition area. The first floor will be devoted to video games (with the possibility of trying all the new games before they are released to the general public). The second floor will house a fast food outlet and finally, the roof will boast a new generation ice rink”, explains Richard Maria, the general manager of the Ni Box, who is in charge of fitting out and operating the building. He adds, “the Ni Box primarily targets young people, but in the operating principle itself, people of all ages will find something to interest them. From grandparents taking their grandchildren bowling, to youngsters who want somewhere to dance during the day because the discothèque will be open on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons.”

In other words, this is a project for the people, unlike anything else: it’s not at all surprising that Patrice PASTOR is particularly attached to the Ni Box, which is scheduled to open in summer 2010.

Prevention

“We intend to act preventively by putting the emphasis on timely information. The image of an establishment such as this owes a lot to its reputation. With this is mind, we plan to implement a pre-payment card that will allow parents to control their children’s expenditure. By encouraging loyalty through the allocation of points, we shall give clients the opportunity to practise various activities and to benefit from numerous advantages, especially offers on products sold in the boutique… This is a system that is growing fast in Northern Europe and it is very interesting, both from the point of view of controlling client’s expenditure and to encourage security”, adds Richard Maria.

An ice rink without ice

Imagine an ice rink on a roof… open all year round! Skaters will be able to “experience the same sliding sensation as on ice… wearing traditional skates or new generation rollerblades on flooring made of synthetic panels”, explains the operator of the future NI Box. “This ice-sliding concept was created in Switzerland and is now used in various places (in Dubai, Italy, Hong Kong, the United States) and it falls in line with the eco-friendly movement that makes particular sense in Monaco.”
